MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Roberta "Bobby" Keller, nee Landis on October 29, 2013, at the age of ninety-one; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on August 21, 1922, Bobby was the beloved wife of Jack for sixty-seven years; loving mother of Peter (Maureen), Michael (Mary), Jeffrey (Jan) and the late Stephen; dear grandmother of twelve and great grandmother of seven; treasured sister of the late Marion and Del Rita; cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews and friend of many. Bobby leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Bobby was an active and vital member of her community who touched the lives of all who knew her through her kindness, generosity, heart and spirit; and
WHEREAS, Bobby will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-sixth day of November, 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Roberta "Bobby" Keller and express to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Roberta "Bobby" Keller as a token of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
