RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Barbara J Vanek has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Barbara J Vanek ,nee Sternal, Beloved wife of Kenneth; loving mother of Karen (the late Morris) Ruttenberg and Valerie (Steve) LaRosa; beloved daughter ofthe late Vincent and Eugenia Sternal; fond grandmother of Michael, Charles (Lauren) LaRosa, and Ariel Ruttenberg; great-grandmother of Scarlet LaRosa; dear sister of Patricia Rust and the late Gerald, John, and Vincent Jr. Sternal; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews; dear friend and neighbor to many and member ofthe Women ofthe Woods; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared "Barbara her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty fourth of March 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Barbara J Vanek and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Barbara J Vanek.
