BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

 

SECTION 1. Section 4-60-130 ofthe Municipal Code ofthe City of Chicago is hereby amended by deleting the language struck-through and inserting the language underscored, as follows:

 

4-60-130 Hours of operation.

(a) (1) Except as provided in paragraph (a) (2) ofthis subsection, no person licensed hereunder as a retailer of alcoholic liquor shall sell, permit to be sold, or give away any alcoholic liquor between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Mondays through Saturdays and between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Sundays, except that [j}_a supermarket may commence the sale of package goods at 8:00 a.m. on Sundavsv, and (ii) each person licensed hereunder as a retailer of alcoholic liquor shall cease all sales of alcoholic liquor for off-premises consumption between 9:00 p.m. and the hour at which the licensee is permitted to resume alcoholic liquor sales under this section.
