RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, God in His infinite Wisdom has called Gloria A. Bird to her eternal reward; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Gloria A. Bird, nee Murnane; beloved wife of the late Donald P.; loving mother of David (Schari), Joseph (Regina), Brian (Maggie), John "J.J." Bird and Laura (Mike) West; cherished grandmother of nine; fond sister of Marilyn (Ted) Balicki, Maureen (Brian) Kelly, Patricia (Bert) Kouba and the late Michael Murnane; also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives. Gloria A. Bird leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this sixteenth day of October, 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Gloria A. Bird and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Gloria A. Bird.
