Resolution Honoring Nicholas Slywczuk's Service for the City of Chicago
WHEREAS, in recognition of Nick Slywcz'uk's comiriitment'.ofpublic service and his strong work ethic for the City of Chicago, and (
WHEREAS. Nick first started working with the City of Chicago on December 1, 1987 as an aide to the 4.5th Ward Alderman for eight years, and
WHEREAS, he later worked as a field investigator for the Department of Finance for four years, and
WHEREAS. Nick joined Streets & Sanitation as the 45th Ward Superintendent in December 1999 where he served for 12 years, and
WHEREAS, Nick-then.served as the 46th Ward Superintendent starting in June 2011 until.his retirement on June 30, 2022. and
WHEREAS, he';and his wife Susan have been married for 22 years, and
WHEREAS, they have two daughters; Becca and Nicole, and son-in-law Jason,
WHEREAS, Nick and Susan are grandparents to Brooks and Beau; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we,, the Mayor and Members ofthe City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this July 20, 2022, do hereby honor-Nick Slywczuk for his dedication to the City of Chicago and going we'll beyond the call of duty due to his commitment to being a'public servant: and
