RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, William C. Hollemans has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of eighty-two; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A resident of the Streeterville neighborhood on Chicago's lakefront, William C. Hollemans was the loving husband for sixty-two years of Ruth, nee Walcott; and
WHEREAS, William C. Hollemans was the much adored father of William Walcott and the grandfather of Mario William to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, William C. Hollemans was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan to William and Nola and was the dear brother of the late Donald Lee, Phyllis Hanenburg and Jack Frederick; and
WHEREAS, William C. Hollemans earned a degree from Worsham College of Mortuary Science; and
WHEREAS, William C. Hollemans served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany; and
WHEREAS, Following his honorable discharge from military service, William C. Hollemans settled with his wife in Chicago where he served as a Funeral Director and Embalmer for more than-forty years; and
WHEREAS, During his career, William C. Hollemans provided dignity and comfort to families in their bereavement and ably served for twenty-one years at Lain & Son and nineteen years at Drake 85 Son funeral homes; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, compassion and dedication of William C. Hollemans serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared William C. Hollemans to his- family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, William C. Hollemans was an individual of great integrity and accomplishment who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, William C. Hollemans imparts a...
