MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His Infinite Wisdom has called Marva Christine Brewster, most beloved citizen to her eternal reward, May 23, 2015; and

WHEREAS, This august body has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Emma Mitts, Alderman of the 37th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Marva, affectionately called "Tina", was born on July 13, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Marvin and Mollie Ruth Hardie. From their union, she was the eldest of four children: Pamela Malone, (the late)Darryl Hardie and Donna R. Hardie; and
WHEREAS, Tina confessed to Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church in Robinwood, Alabama. She attended Ketona Junior High and graduated in 1966 from Hooper City High School; and
WHEREAS, A romantic at heart, Tina met and married the love of her life Paul S. Brewster, Sr., her husband of 45 years, 11 months and 9 days. They settled in Chicago, Illinois. Three adored children were born to their union: Marcus (proceeded her in death), Paul Jr. and Mia (Tyrone Howard); and
WHEREAS, Tina worked at LaRabida Children Hospital for over 30 years. After which time, she devoted her waking hours to loving and spoiling her four grandchildren; DeMarcus Brewster, TyRell Howard, Mikaya Walker and LaMia Brewster. She was a loving, compassionate and giving person who was always willing to do anything for her family; and
WHEREAS, Tina enjoyed traveling, decorating and stunning passerbys (and family) with her spectacular Christmas displays. She had a knack for making all she touched look amazing. In a word, she was simply "BEAUTIFUL" inside and out;
WHEREAS, A cherished friend and supportive family member to all, Tina will be deeply missed but the remembrance of her character, dedication and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,
