City Council October 14th, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lorelei Campos has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 70 to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11 th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Lorelei Campos nee Araldi, Beloved wife of Ruben Campos; loving mother of Dino Campos (Vanessa Arroyo), Salina Mendoza, and Lisa Campos (Jaime Guzman); cherished grandmother of Cezanni, Gustavo Jr., and Gianna; dearest sister of Pamela (Michael) Tinman, Richard (Rennc) Araldi; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Stella Araldi nee Lesniak; and
WHEREAS, Lorelei was lifetime resident of the South Side of Chicago- Back of the Yards and Canaryville neighborhoods; She was a graduate of Visitation High School, Alumni class of 69'; She was conscientious and hardworking, with a determined work ethic; Lorelei was a former employee for Drovers' Bank, Comiskey Park, and Cook County Clerk's office; She enjoyed traveling around the world, playing cards, especially bunco with her friends, but most of all spending time with her family; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Lorelei to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this fourteenth of October 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Lorelei Campos and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lorelei Campos.
