Resolution for Francis (Frank) Raymond Corbett

 

WHEREAS, The members of the Chicago City Council wish to recognize the many accomplishments and the passing of Francis (Frank) Corbett

 

WHEREAS, Francis (Frank) Corbett departed this present life on Thursday, February 18, 2021; and

 

WHEREAS, The City Council has been notified of his passing by The Honorable Harry Osterman, Alderman of the 48th Ward; and .

 

WHEREAS, Francis (Frank) Corbett is survived by his wife Mary Lou, three brothers Edward, Richard, and Peter, two sisters Mary Ann and Patricia, two children Sharon and Michael, three grandchildren Frankie, Rosie, and Liliana, siblings-in-law Edith, Katherine, Dennis, Robert, Herbert, and Patricia, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his father Michael, mother Mary, mother-in-law Dolores, brothers-in-law Bruce and Ronald, and son-in-law Richard; and

 

WHEREAS, Francis (Frank) Corbett was a true Chicagoan, meeting his sweetheart, Mary Lou, at St. Gregory the Great High School. He was actively involved in the community, being a part of numerous community organizations, including North Side Federal Savings for over 40 years; and

 

WHEREAS, Francis (Frank) Corbett was an avid sports fan, both for Chicago sports teams and his grandchildren's teams. He will be remembered for his love of reading and learning; now, therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this day of June 23, 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Francis (Frank) Corbett and extend to his family and friends, our deepest sympathy; and

Harry Osterman Alderman, 48th Ward

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Francis (Frank) Corbett.
