MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR JUDITH ANN CARLSON

 

WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Judith Ann Carlson on March 04, 2018 at the age of 76; and

 

WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and

 

WHEREAS, Born on June 24, 1941, Judith was the beloved wife and college sweetheart of the late Walter Carlson, CFD, for fifty two years; devoted mother of Tim, Jill (David) Klusendorf, Kerry Carlson, and Matthew (Tara) Carlson; cherished grandmother of Hannah (Will) Cousino, Conor Klusendorf (Carmen Otubusin), Sloan, Henry, Lily, Violet and Max; fond sister of Annette (Wayne) Rasmussen, Janis Beckford and the late Carole Kellogg; fond sister-in-law to Kathleen (Carlson) Provenzano and the late James and Barbara Carlson; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her including friends dating back to Lakeview High School and College Sorority Sisters, "Club". Judith leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and

 

WHEREAS, Judith was the Parish Secretary at Queen of All Saints Parish for nearly twenty years. She touched the lives of all who knew her through her love and caring spirit. She will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character will live on in those who knew and loved her; now, therefore,

 

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and member of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty eighth day of March, 2018, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Judith Ann Carlson and express to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

 

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Judith Ann Carlson as a token of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
