RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Robert Groetsema to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Frank J. Olivo; and
WHEREAS, The beloved husband for 62 years of Bernadine, loving father of Gary (Debra) and Thomas, proud grandfather of Brian and Dana, Jaime, Loren and Matt, Gina and Pat, and T.J. and Jessica, cherished great-grandfather of Jolie, Rylan, Kyle, Madison, Tyler, Alyssa, Olivia and Jacob, adoring brother of Eleanor (the late Roger), the late John and the late Ann, dear brother-in-law of the late Robert, the late Francis (Dorothy) and Joan (the late Richard), fond uncle of many nieces and nephews, Robert Groetsema leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this thirteenth day of April, 2011, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Robert Groetsema and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy be presented to the family of Robert Groetsema.
