RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Frank M. Jerbich to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Frank M. Jerbich, at rest June 13, 2021,92 years young; and
WHEREAS, Frank was very resourceful and believed in building lasting relationships. He lived his life on his own terms without regrets. Those who were close to him saw his passion in action and how his big heart seemed to fill the room; and
WHEREAS, Frank was born on February 21,1929 in Oak Park, IL to Mihalj and Anna (Hadera). Along with his younger brother, Joseph they lived in the Holy Trinity Croatian Parish in the Piisen neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, In 1956, Frank married Isabelle 'Issy' Zapolsky (who was widowed) and become a stepdad to Nadine and the twins, Tom & Edward. Soon to arrive, Catherine and Michael. This blended family grew up in their West Lawn home in which Frank remained until his passing. After 32 years of marriage, Issy passed in 1987 and Tom passed in February 2021; and
WHEREAS, His career as a Machinist started at the Gross Printing Company in 1947. Moving to the first printing press for Wall Street Journal and later Oak Forest Hospital retiring from the Chicago Police Department in 1993; and
WHERAS, Later in life, he reunited with a fellow Harrison High School alumni, Marie Culjak McGuckin and for the next 30 years their shared love of music, attending many operas and tamburitza performances and just as many social and business meetings, and
WHERAS, Over the years, dozens of organizations prospered from Frank's dedication and loyalty. With the Boys Scouts of America, as proud Union member of IAMAW for 74 years, serving as Adjutant for American Legion Pilseh Post #825,
