MEMORIAL RESOLUTION HONORING CALVIN WILSON
WHEREAS, Almighty God, in His infinite wisdom and judgment has called his beloved child, Calvin Wilson to his eternal rest on October 19, 2013; and
WHEREAS, This august body has been notified of Mr. Calvin Wilson's transition by the esteemed Alderman of the 9th Ward, Anthony Beale; and
WHEREAS, born on July 9, 1960, Calvin was a hard worker employed by the Madam Cleaning Service for eleven and a half years and by Alderman Anthony Beale for three years; and
WHEREAS, Calvin Wilson was a cherished friend and helpful neighbor to all and enriched the lives of the young and the old alike. He will be deeply missed but the memory of his character, intelligence, humor and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; and
WHEREAS, Calvin Wilson leaves a host of loved ones to cherish his life and legacy including his loving mother, Bernice (Lonzo); his beloved four children, Reese, Chikibia, Delores and Mario; a granddaughter, Chakyra; four sisters, Shirley Wilson (preceded him in death), Darlene Flippen (Thomas), Sharon Wilson (Cardell) and Carolyn Sanders; three brothers, Gregory Wilson (preceded him in death), Derrick Kyles and Lonzo; three uncles, Chester, Larry and Frank; along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and special friends; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this fifteenth day of January 2014, do hereby express our sorrow on the passing of Mr. Calvin Wilson and extend to his family and friends our sincere condolences; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Mr. Calvin Wilson.
