ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, The purpose of this ordinance is to correct an ordinance which the City Council passed on April 30, 2014 and is numbered by the City Clerk's office as Ordinance SO2014-2377 (hereinafter "Ordinance"). The Ordinance contained several scriveners' errors; and
WHEREAS, Sections 1, 2 and 3 of this corrective ordinance clarify liquor moratoria which the Ordinance did not properly describe; and
WHEREAS, Section 4 of this corrective ordinance repeals a duplicative moratorium: 4-60-023 (45.48) which is identical to 4-60-023 (45.31); and
WHEREAS, Section 5 of this corrective ordinance repeals 4-60-023 (45.74) since it is inconsistent with 4-60-021 (b)(2) of the Code, which requires a liquor moratorium to be a minimum of two contiguous city blocks; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:
SECTION 1. Section 4-60-023 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by inserting the underscored language and deleting the language struck through, as follows:
4-60-023 (45.40) On North Lipps Avenue from West Gale Street to West Lawrence Avenue (extended) to West Gale Street.
SECTION 2. Section 4-60-023 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by inserting the underscored language and deleting the language struck through, as follows:
4-60-023 (45.53) On West Foster Avenue from the Kennedy Expressway to North Lovejoy Avenue, and West Gettysburg Street from North Central Avenue Milwaukee Avenue to North Lovejoy Avenue.
SECTION 3. Section 4-60-023 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by inserting the underscored language and deleting the language struck through, as follows:
4-60-023 (45.56) On West Winnemac Avenue from North LeClaire Avenue to North Elston Cicero Avenue.
SECTION 4. Section 4-60-023 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by repealing subsection 45.48, as follows:
4-60 023 (45.48) On the south side of West Peterson Avenue from North Austin Avenue to North Nagle Avenue.
