CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO TRE KRONOR ON THE OCCASION OF ITS 25th ANNIVERSARY
WHEREAS, Tre Kronor, located at 3258 West Foster, celebrated its 25th anniversary of serving delicious, authentic Swedish cuisine in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this prestigious occasion by Alderman Margaret Laurino; and
WHEREAS, Opened on July 12, 1992 by owners Patty Rasmussen and Larry Anderson, Tre Kronor has been the place to gather, hot only for delicious Swedish food, but also for family celebrations and special occasions; and
WHEREAS, When Tre Kronor opened, Patty and Larry lived in an apartment above the restaurant, putting in 20-hour days as they began making the restaurant their own. With their children essentially being raised along with the business, close relationships were built with everyone from neighbors and students from nearby North Park University to more high-profile regulars like the late great Studs Terkel and Chicago Blackhawks players; and.
WHEREAS, From their quiches and Swedish pancakes to dinner favorites like pickled herring, norsk lax, kottbullar (meatballs), kycklingfile (chicken), and flaskfile, for many customers Tre Kronor's dishes remind them of what their Swedish grandma used to make. Each delicious dish at Tre Kronor is served with authentic Nordic flair and a warm Chicago embrace; now, therefore
Be It Resolved, That the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, assembled this twenty sixth day of July 2017, do hereby congratulate the Patty Rasmussen and Larry Anderson on the 25th anniversary of Tre Kronor; and
Be It Further Resolved, That suitable copies of the resolution be prepared and presented to Patty Rasmussen and Larry Anderson.
