WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called James P. Curtis to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, James P. Curtis, loving brother of Daniel (Diane, nee Cummings); beloved uncle of Melissa Curtis, and Steven (Yvette) Curtis; dear great-uncle of Maura and Brendan Curtis; fond cousin and friend to many. Proud U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, and Purple Heart Recipient. Longtime member of the Windy City Vets, American Legion, and VFW.
WHERAS, James P. Curtis leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this twenty-third day of January, 2019, hereby express our sorrow on the death of James P. Curtis and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
