RESOLUTION FOR MATTIE B. WALTON

WHEREAS; this body has been informed of the passing of Mattie B. Walton, by the Honorable Stephanie D. Coleman, Alderman of the 16^th Ward; we would like to convey our sincere condolences to Judge Tyria Walton and the entire family at the loss of her beloved mother; and

WHEREAS, we commend you to Him who is omniscient, all wise, and always knowing what is right, our prayers and thoughts are with you now and in the days ahead; and

WHEREAS, we bow in humble submission to Him who never makes a mistake, we thank God for her life and we encourage the family to take one day at a time, and the Lord will comfort and embrace you and keep you in His care; and

BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered this 16^th day of December 2020; do hereby express our deepest sympathy to Judge Tyria Walton and her family;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy ofthe Resolution of Respect be presented to the Walton family on thel4^,h day of November, as a sign of our honor, gratitude and respect.
