City Council November 17th, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Mary Colette O'Sullivan has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Mary Colette O'Sullivan, beloved daughter of the late Elizabeth Marie (nee Browne) and the late Patrick O'Sullivan; loving sister of the late Reverend John P. O'Sullivan; she is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins in County Cork Ireland; and
WHEREAS, Mary was a longtime resident of Chicago's South Loop neighborhood; After graduating from St. Xavier College with degrees in Math and Science and a minor in German she was employed with Donald P. Campbell Consulting as an actuary; She worked with Campbell until her retirement; Mary enjoyed travel and explored a number of countries; She was devoted to her church activities and was a member of the Mercy Hospital Women's Board; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Mary to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this seventeenth of November 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Mary Colette O'Sullivan and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Colette O'Sullivan.
