RESOLUTION HONORING THE POLISH AMERICAN WOMEN'S CONFERENCE
WHEREAS, Chicago's history and culture have been deeply enriched and shaped by Polish American women for over 150 years, with their contributions making the City of Chicago a better place to live, work, and raise families,
WHEREAS, Polish women have been teachers, builders, entrepreneurs, and activists who have worked hard for their families and communities, as well as their own success,

WHEREAS, In 2016, with the cooperation of Polish Women in Business, the Polish Consulate General in Chicago, and El Centro Northeastern Illinois University, the first ever Polish American Women's Conference was held, honoring women of Polish heritage who shared their perspectives on leadership, business, education, and civic participation,
WHEREAS, This year, on June 1st, the fourth Polish American Women's Conference will be held at the Polish Museum of America to honor six extraordinary women leaders,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of Chicago, gathered here this 29th day of May, 2019, do hereby call public attention to the contributions of Polish American Women to Chicago, and celebrate the Polish American Women's Conference,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Polish American Women's Conference on June 1st, 2019.
