RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Nancy Ann Andrasco, a widely admired parochial school administrator, will celebrate twenty-five years of dedicated service as the Principal of St. Jane de Chantal School in Chicago on January 29, 2015; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this milestone by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, The eldest of ten children of Loretta and Harry, an employee of Ford Motor Company, Nancy Ann Andrasco was raised in Queen of Martyrs Parish on Chicago's Southwest Side; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Ann Andrasco graduated from Mother McAuley High School and earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Chicago State University; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Ann Andrasco returned to Queen of Martyrs Parish in 1978 to begin her first job as an elementary school teacher with the Archdiocese of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, In 1990 Nancy Ann Andrasco was named Principal of St. Jane de Chantal School where for two-and-a-half decades she has excelled as an administrator and proven herself to be a true asset to the Garfield Ridge community; and
WHEREAS, Her long-serving tenure has made her the longest-serving Principal in the history of St. Jane de Chantal School; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her long and illustrious tenure, Nancy Ann Andrasco has always enjoyed an unfailing memory of the names of pupils, past and present; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Nancy Ann Andrasco serve as an example to all; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-first day of January, 2015, do hereby congratulate Nancy Ann Andrasco on her twenty-fifth anniversary as Principal of St. Jane de Chantal School; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Nancy Ann Andrasco.
