SUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Annual Appropriation Ordinance for the year 2013 of the City of Chicago (the "City") contains estimates of revenues receivable as grants from agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8 ofthe Annual Appropriation Ordinance, the heads of various departments and agencies of the City have applied to agencies of the state and federal governments and public and private agencies for grants to the City for various purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Public Health has been awarded federal grant funds in the amount of $25,000 from the Illinois Department of Public Health which shall be used for the BioSense Syndromic Surveillance program; and
WHEREAS, the City through its Department of Family and Support Services ("DFSS") has been awarded additional state grant funds in the amount of $1,000 by the Illinois Department on Aging ("IDOA") which shall be used for the State Foster Grandparent program; and
WHEREAS, the City through DFSS has been awarded additional state grant funds in the amount of $3,000 by IDOA which shall be used for the State Senior Employment Specialist program; and
WHEREAS, the City through DFSS has been awarded state grant funds through a consent decree in connection with the Colbert v. Quinn lawsuit in the amount of $428,000 by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services which shall be used for the Colbert Consent Decree Implementation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City through DFSS has been awarded state grant funds in the amount of $350,000 by the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority which shall be used for the Enhanced Neighborhood Clean-up program; and
WHEREAS, the City through DFSS has been awarded private grant funds in the amount of $100,000 by the National Council on Aging/Atlantic Philanthropies which shall be used for the Senior Benefits program; and
