At the request ofthe Commissioner of Planning and Development, I transmit herewith an ordinance authorizing quit claim deeds transfer ofa City-owned property located at 1733 North Francisco Avenue to adjacent neighbors.

ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the City of Chicago (the "Citv") is a home rule unit of government by virtue of the provisions of the Constitution of the State of lllinois-of 1970 and, as such, may exercise any power and perform any function pertaining to its government and affairs; and
WHEREAS, on December 5,1985, the City commenced a demolition case against the owner ofthe property located at 1733-35 N. Francisco, as legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto (the "Demolition Parcel"); and
WHEREAS, the court case proceeded as follows:
on July 16, 1986, the Circuit Court of Cook County issued a decree in favor of the City to demolish the building on the Demolition Parcel;
on October 16,1986, the City demolished the building;
on December 9, 1986, the City filed a lien in the amount of $7,330.00 against the Demolition Parcel for the cost of demolishing the building;
on December 30,1986, the Circuit Court entered judgment in favor of the City in the amount of $7,330;
on December 5,1989, the City recorded a Lis Pendens Notice of Foreclosure of the demolition lien in the county's property records;
on August 22, 1991, the Circuit Court entered judgment in favor of the City to foreclose the lien;
on December 3, 1991, the Sheriff of Cook County held a public sale of the Demolition Parcel and, without receiving other bids, issued a Certificate of Sale to the City;
on July 31, 1992, the City acquired title to the Demolition Parcel through a Sheriffs Deed, recorded on October 1, 1992, as document number 92731061;...
