Honoring Senior Pastor Bill H. Brown and Pastor Diane Brown on 25 years of ministry service to the Washington Park community
WHEREAS, John O. Coleman of Exodus M. B. Church ordained Pastor BillH. Brown at the age of 19, and later Pastor Bill was licensed again under the leadership of Bishop R. J. Roff of the Prayer Tabernacle in the Non-Denominational Faith;
WHEREAS, The Blessing Church of Pastor Bill H. Brown and Pastor Diane Brown established a home congregation in an abandoned warehouse, forging a new identity for those in the area;
WHEREAS, The Church became known as Christ Unity Evangelistic Church, to symbolize hope and unity for the community;
WHEREAS, Pastor Bill inherited Christ Unity Evangelistic House of Prayer from his mother and merged the young and growing congregation with the Interdenominational Pilgrim Assemblies of Brooklyn, New York to create a thriving ministry of renowned scope;
WHEREAS, On September 19"', 1987 Pastor Bill and Pastor Diane joined together in holy matrimony, serving as a model of strengthenedfamily;
WHEREAS, Their innovative and visionary leadership sought to transform and stabilize lives and restore families;
WHEREAS, Pastor Bill was elevated to the office of the Jurisdictional Presbyter of the Pilgrim Assemblies of Illinois, and in 2003, Presbyter Bill became the Overseer of the 3rd Episcopal Diocese of Illinois;
WHEREAS, Pastor Diane has an accomplished career as a Minister of Music for several Catholic Archdiocese Schools, serving to enlighten and enrich individuals through self-expression and emotional fulfillment;
WHEREAS, Pastor Diane, affectionately known as "Lady Di," became a powerful organizer and leader in gospel music production, including administration in WW Productions, Inc., Singsation
