CELEBRATING CHARLIE AND BERTHA THOMAS SO WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
WHEREAS, Charlie and Bertha Thomas will celebrate their 50Ih Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday, February 18, 2011. What a privilege to celebrate this most auspicious occasion, especially when today's society has shattered the lives of so many Christian Married Couples.
WHEREAS, the Infallible Word of God teaches married couples to submit themselves one unto another, Charlie and Bertha Thomas followed the Word of God faithfully in their marriage. Their unending love-fdf one another proves marriages are able to withstand the test of time. Thank you for giving us hope.
WHEREAS, they experienced numerous trials and tribulations within their marriage, Charlie and Bertha Thomas still believed the scripture which states, "For faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen." While others could not perceive their destiny, God had already mapped out a plan for their marriage. God is faithful and He is Just! Today, I will give God AU the Glory and the Honor for divinely connecting Charlie and Bertha Thomas.
WHEREAS, I pray that as Charlie and Bertha Thomas move forward with celebrating their life-long commitment, the Blood of Jesus will cover their home. And I declare in the name of Jesus whatever their hearts so'desire and it falls under the Will of the FATHER it shall be done!
BE IT RESOLVED, That the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, will gather together on the 9th Day of February, 2011, A.D., to congratulate and celebrate the long-standing marriage of Charlie and Bertha Thomas and extend to their family, friends and associates for allowing us the opportunity to be a part of such an auspicious occasion; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Charlie and Bertha Thomas.
