CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF AN EXCEPTIONAL WOMAN "ANNA B. ROGERS"
WHEREAS, On Thursday, May 26,2011, Anna B. Rogers answered her Father's call, "Come for I have built a well-designed mansion specifically for you, inside are windows draped with diamonds, rubies and pearls. While you sit comfortably in your royal chair you will notice each window displays photographs of those you have touched. Anna B. Rogers smiled and replied, "Lord you know I am exhausted and really could use some rest." Without hesitation, Anna B, Rogers lifted her hands towards the Lord and immediately he lifted her from her natural body. The Angels in Heaven shouted, "Anna's coming home!"
WHEREAS, throughout her livelihood, Anna B. Rogers endured trial's and tribulations, nonetheless she continued to show unconditional love and an undying amount of compassion to many. Anna B. Rogers was an awesome and anointed Woman of God and her life exemplified a spirit of excellence.
WHEREAS, Now I speak on behalf of every generation when I say, "Anna B. Rogers name was more than just an average name." Every letter in her name stood for something. Though we cried often for the life of Anna B. Rogers, we know that one day soon we shall all meet her again. From this day forward, let us salute to the "Hills from Whence Cometh Our Help and Always Remember Out Help Comes from the Lord;" for allowing us the opportunity to spend time with such a great and remarkable woman. Anna B. Rogers, thank you so much for all the wonderful things you bestowed in the lives of others. Because of people like you, we are who we are today! So at this time, we refuse to say, good-bye, but rather say, soon we shall meet again; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and members ofthe City Council ofthe City of Chicago, will gather together on the 811 Day of June, 2011, A.D., to express their sorrow on the passing of Anna B. Rogers, and extend to her family and friends their sincere condolences; and
