Resolution

WHEREAS, John Finnegan passed away this January, 2013; and

WHEREAS, The City of Chicago City Council has been notified of his passing by The Honorable Harry Osterman, Alderman of the 48^th. Ward; and

WHEREAS, John Finnegan was the beloved husband of the late Adeline (nee Montez,) loving father of Kenneth, Patrick, .Michele and the late Richard. Dear grandfather of Patrick, Nicole, Edward and Brian. Fond brother of Margaret "Peggy" Levan, Sally (Larry) Dossett and the late Noreen Ato, James, Mary (the late William) Gallop and William. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Retired 30 year employee at Peoples Gas and longtime board member of Gas Workers Union Local 18007. -

WHEREAS, A great friend to many, John Finnegan's memory will be deeply cherished and his long life will be celebrated; therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, The Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this day of April 10, 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of John Finnegan and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

BE IT FURHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Finnegan^
