TRIBUTE TO THE LIFE OF JAMES FURLONG. SR.

WHEREAS. Almighty God in His Infinite Wisdom has granted James Furlong birth into eternity on September 22, 2010; and

WHEREAS, James Furlong married his first wife in 1963 who passed away in May of 1984. Through his love of dance, he found his second wife, Dolores, with whom he united in Holy Matrimony in August of 2005; and

WHEREAS, James Furlong joined the Chicago Fire Department on December 22, 1973 as a firefighter with Hook and Ladder Company 55. He retired on November 29, 2003 at the age of 69; and

WHEREAS, James Furlong leaves behind to mourn his loss and celebrate his life a loving and devoted wife, Dolores; three children, James (Kathy), Marty (Lisa) and Daniel (who passed on before him): six grandchildren, Patrick, Megan, Kevin, Jack, Olivia, and a host of family, friends and loved ones; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable Patrick J. Levar, Alderman of the 45^lh Ward, has informed this august body of the passing of James Furlough; now therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City of Chicago City Council, assembled this 9^th day of February, 2011 A.D., do hereby express our sincere sorrow at the passing of James Furlong and the extent our deepest condolence to his family, friends, and people whose lives he touched.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of James Furlong.
