MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Mary Patricia "Patsy''' Grady, on March 25, 2014 at the age of seventy-four; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of her passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino. Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on March 13, 1940, the beloved sister and best friend to Joan; loving daughter of the late Matt and Mary Grady; cherished by many cousins and treasured friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her, Patsy leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Patsy graduated from Immaculata High School in 1958: was a long-term valued employee at Nightingale-Connant; enjoyed world travel and was an avid golfer. She will be remembered for her quiet humor and selfless devotion to the care of her sister. Patsy was an active and vital member of her community who touched the lives of all who knew her through her kindness, generosity and spirit; and
WHEREAS, Patsy will be deeply missed, but the memory of her character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved her, now, therefore.
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this thirtieth day of April 2014, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Mary Patricia "Patsy" Grady and express to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Patricia "Patsy" Grady as a token of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
