RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Gregory A. Adamski has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of sixty-two; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Gregory A. Adamski was a prominent Chicago attorney and the loving husband of Karen Conti; and
WHEREAS, The son of a physician, Gregory A. Adamski was raised in the Marquette Park neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, Gregory A. Adamski attended Xavier University before earning his law degree from Catholic University of America Law School; and
WHEREAS, During his nearly forty-year career which was marked by numerous professional successes, Gregory A. Adamski tried hundreds of civil and criminal cases and argued more than sixty appeals; and
WHEREAS, Along with his wife, Gregory A. Adamski served as a Managing Partner of the litigation law firm of Adamski & Conti and also taught at the University of Illinois College of Law; and
WHEREAS, Since 2006, Gregory A. Adamski was the co-host of the popular WGN-AM talk show, Legally Speaking, which focused on court cases and controversial legal issues; and
WHEREAS, Gregory A. Adamski was a recipient of the prestigious Elmer Gertz Award from the Illinois Bar Association which recognized his work on behalf of the poor and his tireless efforts advocating civil rights; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Gregory A. Adamski serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Gregory A. Adamski to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
WHEREAS, Gregory A. Adamski will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and admirers; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved wife, Karen Conti, his son, Rik, his mother, Catherine Bandurski, his brothers, Richard and Michael, and his sister, Mary Sue, Gregory A. Adamski imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service a...
