ORDINANCE

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO:

SECTION 1. Chapter 13-32 of the Municipal Code of Chicago is hereby amended by adding a new section 13-32-315, as follows:

13-32-315 Reserved LED retrofits-fee waiver.

Notwithstanding any provision of the Municipal Code of Chicaqo to the contrary, the commissioner of buildings shall waive the fee for the permit required under section 13-12-360 for the alteration of an existing exit sign in a business by installing a Light-emitting diode (LED) Exit Sign Retrofit kit.

This section is repealed on November 1, 2011.

SECTION 2. This ordinance takes effect upon its passage and approval.
