RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, On Tuesday, September 9, 2014, The Apartment Building Owners and Managers Association of Illinois will be honoring Robert C. Wiggs for his service to ABOMA, the Chicago High Rise Residential Industry and the City of Chicago for over a half of a century; and
WHEREAS, ABOMA has represented the Chicago High-Rise Residential Industry for 76 years, and for the past 50 years Robert C. Wiggs has been its Corporate Secretary; and
WHEREAS, Over the past 50 years, the Chicago High-Rise Residential Industry has dramatically changed. Today ABOMA has a membership of over 450 of Chicago's High-Rise Residential Condominiums and Rental buildings. As a result of Bob's years of tireless dedication to this industry and the City of Chicago, ABOMA has grown to become the premier organization representing the High-Rise Residential buildings in Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Robert C. Wiggs is an outstanding citizen who loves Chicago and has done so much to improve the majority of the buildings that create the City's World Class Skyline; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, The mayor and members of the Chicago City Council, gathered here this thirtieth day of July, 2014, A.D. do hereby join in the tribute to Robert C. Wiggs as he is honored by ABOMA and do hereby declare that Tuesday, September 9, 2014 be known as "ROBERT C. WIGGS DAY IN CHICAGO"; and
