RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, On October 2, 2015, Cynthia Williams, and Austin Peoples Action Center (APAC) will celebrate 35 years of outstanding community services in the Austin Community; and
WHEREAS, I, Alderman Emma Mitts, would like to pay tribute to Cynthia Williams, President and CEO, on the occasion of this well-deserved honor for her many years of stellar dedication and commitment to the Austin Peoples Action Center (APAC); and
WHEREAS, the Mission Statement of the Austin Peoples Action Center, established in 1980, believe that people deserve the right to have adequate nutrition, medical care, job opportunities, affordable housing and access to education opportunities providing services such as prenatal and pediatric care, safe home after school for youth, teen reach, diabetes prevention and awareness; and
WHEREAS, Providing 35 years' of service in this busy area, is a time in which a person celebrates their past with the Third Unitarian Church and acknowledge their present with the spirit of love from friends and relatives abound; and
WHEREAS, Cynthia Williams, is a woman of God, a friend to the poor, a mother to the motherless; and
WHEREAS, Whenever a wonderful talented and highly capable Citizen of Chicago such as you, crosses one's life path, it is always the right time to give recognition and praise they deserve for their spirit, exemplary level of professionalism, and job well done over many years of service; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of City Council ofthe City of Chicago, gathered here this fourteenth day of October, 2015 express our unconditional love, gratitude and assure unwavering support to one another and most importantly to "Back to the Place where it All Began" APAC a full circle during this 35th year Celebration 2015 and extend our best wishes for continued success; and
