Aldermanic Acknowledge Honoring Virginia Coleman On Her Retirement

WHEREAS, Virginia Coleman, Supervising Clerk of the Department of Law, will retire after twenty-five years of outstanding service to the City of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Virginia Coleman began her career with the City of Chicago in 1997, and excelled in her role with the Department of Law; and

WHEREAS, Virginia exhibited professionalism and commitment to the City of Chicago, and has served with diligence and perseverance which is highly commendable, 1 am proud to have the opportunity to know her during her tenure with the Department of Law; and

WHEREAS, throughout her many years of service, Virginia has served the people of the City of Chicago with fairness and dedication; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Mayor, Lori Lightfoot and members of the City Council of the

City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-second day of June, 2022, do hereby

congratulate Virginia Coleman on her retirement, and wish her continued happiness and success;

and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Virginia Coleman as a token of our esteem, honor, and respect.
