RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Honorable Lawrence Froman has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of sixty-two; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, A longtime resident of Lincolnwood, the Honorable Lawrence Froman was the loving and devoted husband of Terry; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Lawrence Froman was the much-adored father of Jane and Danny, to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities which he possessed in abundance; and
WHEREAS, A Lincolnwood Trustee, the Honorable Lawrence Froman was considered by his colleagues to be meticulous and pragmatic with a deep devotion to public service; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Lawrence Froman served on numerous civic committees, and was a founding member of the Lincolnwood Economic Development Commission; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Lawrence Froman worked as an executive with AMETEK, Inc. for thirty-six years before retiring in 2007; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Lawrence Froman inspired the lives of countless people through his great personal goodness, charity and concern; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of the Honorable Lawrence Froman serve as an example to all; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Lawrence Froman will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many relatives, friends and colleagues; and
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Honorable Lawrence Froman imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this thirteenth day of April, 2011, do hereby commemorate the Honorable Lawrence Froman for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of the Honorable Lawrence Froman.
