RESOLUTION
 
 
WHEREAS, The Honorable Robert E. Cusack has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 96; and
 
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
 
WHEREAS, The Honorable Robert E. Cusack was a retired member of the judiciary and a military veteran; and
 
WHEREAS, The Honorable Robert E. Cusack was the much-adored father of Bonnie, Ellin and Katie to whom he imparted many of the fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and
 
WHEREAS, The Honorable Robert E. Cusack was the devoted grandfather of Emma and Gibson and the loving companion of Olive Branch; and
 
WHEREAS, The Honorable Robert E. Cusack bravely served his country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Army's 305th Engineering Division; and
 
WHEREAS, The Honorable Robert E. Cusack received his bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago and his law degree from the University of Michigan; and
 
WHEREAS, The Honorable Robert E. Cusack practiced law with his brothers in the firm of Cusack 8b Cusack before serving as a Cook County Judge for the Domestic Relations and Probate Courts from 1974 to 2005; and
 
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared the Honorable Robert E. Cusack to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and
 
 
WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Honorable Robert E. Cusack imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore
 
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-fourth day of July, 2013, do hereby commemorate the Honorable Robert E. Cusack for his grace-filled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of the Honorable Robert E. Cusack.
