MEMORIAL RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that the members of this Chamber learned of the March 3, 2013 death of Juan Sebastian Gil; and

WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Juan Sebastian Gil's death leaves us all with a profound sense of loss and tragedy, especially his loving family, Juan Guillermo Gil and Gloria Vigil and beloved siblings Natali, Jonathan and Juanguito, and many devoted friends, family members and neighbors. Despite our sorrow, we continue to preserve and glorify Sebastian's life; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his life, Sebastian touched the lives of all who knew him through his kindness, his generosity, his heart, and his spirit. Sebastian will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this tenth day of April 2013, do hereby commemorate Juan Sebastian Gil and extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends; and

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Juan Sebastian Gil as a token of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
