WHEREAS, Timothy (Tim) Moorehead, served as the property manager of Evergreen Sedgwick Apartments and Evergreen Tower II Apartments from 2013 to April 2018.
WHEREAS, Tim, over the past several years, sponsored and coached the Little League Football Team, the Near North Raiders, devoting time and resources to young people in his community.
WHEREAS, Tim was born and raised on the Near North Side, at 1350 North Cleveland, and always expressed his love for this city and his community.
WHEREAS, Tim was a dedicated and beloved member of the Near North Unity Group, serving in the best interest of his neighbors and neighborhood.
WHEREAS, Tim earned a Bachelor's Degree from Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, FL. He graduated from Lincoln Park High School, and he also attended Walt Disney Magnet School.
WHEREAS, Tim will be remembered for his inspirational leadership, commitment to the youth, and dedication to the community. His main focus was keeping kids off the streets and providing them with better opportunities.
WHEREAS, Tim worked closely with me and my office in community outreach, citizen engagement, and the welfare and well-being of residents in the 27th Ward.
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the Members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-seventh day of June 2018 A.D., do hereby commemorate Timothy Moorehead, for his lifetime contributions and do hereby extend to his family and many friends our sincere condolences.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to the family of Timothy Moorehead.
