RESOLUTION


WHEREAS, The Honorable Curtis M. Hubertz has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 95; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable Curtis M. Hubertz was the loving and devoted husband of the late Jane; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable Curtis M. Hubertz was the much-adored father of Judy. Peter, Jane Ann, Curtis, Craig, JoEllen, Chris, and Pat to whom he imparted many ofthe fine and noble qualities that he possessed in abundance; and

WHEREAS, Born and raised on the North Side of Chicago, the Honorable Curtis M. Hubertz attended Lane Tech High School and served in the United States Navy during World War 11; and

WHEREAS, Along with his father, the Honorable Curtis M. Hubertz worked at his family's electronics business which installed scoreboards for baseball teams, including the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Chicago Cubs; and

WHEREAS, The Honorable Curtis M. Hubertz continued to perform maintenance on the historic Wrigley Field scoreboard well into his nineties; and

WHEREAS, A dedicated member of his community, the Honorable Curtis M. Hubertz was Village President of Fontana, Wisconsin, from 1966 to 1974; and

WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared the Honorable Curtis M. Hubertz to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; and

WHEREAS, To his beloved family, the Honorable Curtis M. Hubertz imparts a legacy of faithfulness, service and dignity; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED, That we. the Mayor and the members ofthe Chicago City Council, assembled this seventeenth day of January, 2013, do hereby commemorate the Honorable Curtis M. Hubertz for his grace-tilled life and do hereby express our condolences to his family; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy ofthis resolution be presented to the family of The Honorable Curtis M. Huber...
