RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, God in His infinite wisdom has called Reverend Charles Balskus to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman ofthe 13th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Charles Balskus, Age 73. Ordained April 29,1965. First assignment at St. William, last assignment at St. Christina, retired to St. Mary Star of the Sea. Loving son to the late Charles V. Balskus and the late Patricia Balskus (nee Petras). Beloved brother to Jackie (Nick) Mathys, Marytherese Patras, Bill (Karla) Balskus and Mike (Mary Ellen) Balskus. Dear uncle to Chuck (Michelle), Mark (Dee-Dee), Michelle (Paul), Emily (Andrew), Ben, Tim, Elizabeth, Tricia, Sasha, Chrisse, and Marinna. Great-uncle to Rachel, Gabrielle, Andrew and Lindsay. Golfing buddy and friend to many. Reverend Charles Balskus leaves a legacy of faith, dignity, compassion and love; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the Chicago City Council gathered here this thirteenth day of March, 2013, hereby express our sorrow on the death of Reverend Charles Balskus and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy be presented to the family of Reverend Charles Balskus.
