CONGRATULATIONS EXTENDED TO MARK FREEDMAN ON CELEBRATING THE FORTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF MYRON AND PHIL RESTAURANT

WHEREAS, This year marks the fortieth anniversary of Myron ^nd Phil Restaurant, located in Lincolnwood; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this special occasion by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39^th Ward; and !

WHEREAS, Myron and Phil Restaurant was co-founded by Mark Freedman in 1971 and opened its doors to customers that same year; and

WHEREAS, Myron and Phil Restaurant is a second generation family owned and operated restaurant; and

WHEREAS, Year after year, Mark Freeman, age 93, co-founder of Myron and Phil Restaurant, has strived to create a place where the whole family is welcome; and

WHEREAS, Myron and Phil Restaurant has been praised for becoming an integral part of the fabric of life of the community; now, therefore,

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and the members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this twenty-eighth day of July, 2011, do hereby congratulate Mark Freedman on celebrating the fortieth anniversary of Myron and Phil Restaurant and extend our best wishes for continuing success; and ¹

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Mark Freedman and Myron and Phil Restaurant. ^!
