A City Council Resolution Honoring the Retirement of

Nicholas Giannoules

WHEREAS, This august Chicago City Council body has been informed of the retirement of Mr. Nicholas Giannoules on June 30, 2021 after 29 years of service by the Honorable Michelle A. Harris, Alderman of the 8^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Nicholas Giannoules or 'Uncle Nick ' as he was called by family and close friends, is a well-known, highly educated, professionally accomplished man; and

WHEREAS, Nicholas started in 1992 as an intern for the Department of Revenue, Investigations; and

WHEREAS, He was hired full-time in 1993 as a Revenue Investigator for the Department of Revenue, Investigations; and

WHEREAS, Nicholas 1998 promoted to Supervisor in the Department of Revenue, Investigations; and

WHEREAS, In 2004 he was promoted to Director of Security in Business Affairs; and

WHEREAS, From 2018 to present, Nicholas has held the position of Manager of Business Compliance Enforcement, Business Affairs and Consumer Protection; and

WHEREAS, He has been the recipient of numerous awards of appreciation from the Chicago Police Department; and

WHEREAS, Alderman Michelle Harris would like to recognize the hard work and diligence Mr. Nicholas Giannoules displayed; and

THEREFORE, Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, do hereby express our deepest congratulations on his much deserved retirement; and

Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Mr. Nicholas Giannoules.
