RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Kenneth Sain will celebrate the joyful occasion of his 80th Birthday on Saturday, April 15, 2017; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this event by Alderman Edward M. Burke; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Sain was born on April 30, 1937 in the City of Chicago to Frank and Martha Sain; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Sain was the son of the Warden of Cook County Jail and was raised in a house on the jail grounds; and
WHEREAS, A problem solver with a talent for bringing people together, Kenneth Sain has enjoyed a long and highly successful career in both government and the private sector; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Sain is a founding partner of the Carroll & Sain law firm; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Sain previously enjoyed an illustrious, career at City Hall in Chicago where he served as Deputy Mayor under Mayors Richard J. Daley and Michael A. Bilandic; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Bilandic called Kenneth Sain "one of the most versatile, talented individuals ever to serve the City of Chicago" and real estate developer Arthur Rubloff expressed praise for him as a "truly decent man who succeeded brilliantly"; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Sain was one of the first Directors on the Regional Transportation Authority and was a member of the Federal Regional Council for Region Five; and
WHEREAS, Kenneth Sain was also a member of the National Urban Consortium and a Founder and first Chairman of the National Energy Task Force ofthe Urban Consortium of Washington, D.C; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Lincolnwood, Kenneth Sain is the loving husband of Sharon and the much-adored father of Kenneth W., Kelly and Karolee; and
WHEREAS, The hard work, sacrifice and dedication of Kenneth Sain serve as an example to all; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and the members of the Chicago City Council, assembled this twenty-ninth day of March, 2017, do hereby warmly congratulate Kenneth Sain on the celebration of his 80th Birthday and do hereby express our best wishes for ...
