RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Dorothy M. Ormond has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the
age of 79 to her eternal reward; and ' v
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Dorothy M. Ormond, nee Diver, loving wife and best Mend of thelate JohnT. Ormond, CFD ret.; devoted mother of John B. (Tiffany) Ormond, CPD; beloved daughter ofthe late Ann Diver (Moody) and the late Hugh Diver; loving sister of late Carol A. Diver, late Hugh (Carol Jean) Diver, late Robert (Sharon) Diver, and Richard (Joyce ) Diver, CFD ret.; special friend of Rosemary Gorman; loving aunt of John Diver, Hugh (Lynne) Diver, Kevin (Millie) Diver, Colleen Thomas, Jennifer (Timothy) McCarthy, Robert (Randa) Diver, Richard (Sheila) -Diver, Elizabeth Diver, CFD; great aunt of Sean, Thomas, Kylan, and Taylor Diver, Matthew and Nicholas McCarthy, Isabella and Murphy Thomas, Olivia, Alice, Owen, and Mabel Diver; and
WHEREAS, Dorothy a lifelong resident ofthe South Side of Chicago-Canaryville neighborhood, Dorothy was a lifelong, faith-filled member of St. Gabriel Church, considered by others to be a pillar of the parish; Dorothy retired after many years of dedicated service to the Chicago Park Employees Credit Union and the Cook County Board of Commissioners; and
WHERE AS, Her love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared Dorothy to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BEIT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council ofthe City of Chicago gathered here this sixteenth of December 2020, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Dorothy M. Ormond and extend to her family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the ; family of Dorothy M. Ormond.
