City Council April 21st, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Margaret "Peggy" A. Ryan has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God at the age of 79 to her eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of her passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, A lderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Margaret A. Ryan, beloved wife of the late James Ryan, CFD Engineer; Loving mother of the late Kim (Fiaric6 Bill O'Hara), Jeanne Ryan, and Lisa (Jim) Collins; Treasured grandmother of Sean (Tyler) Ryan, Jimmy Collins, Casey Collins, and Shannon Collins; Cherished sister of John (Nancy) Ryan, Jean (Ray, , CFD) Ell itch, Patrick (Shirley) Ryan, Terry (Tim, GPD) Lambert; Fond sister-in-law of JoanTrentz, Rose Maher, and Bern Ryan; also survived by a host of numerous loving nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her parents John and Helen Ryan (McPhillips); and
WHEREAS, Margaret was a lifelong resident of Chicago-Canaryville neighborhood and was immensely proud of her Irish heritage; She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Canaryville; She was an avid'Chicago White Sox and Blackhawks fan; and enjoyedspending time -with her family; Peggy was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew her; and
WHEREAS, Her love of life and abiIity;to live it to the fullest endeared Peggy to her family members, friends and all who knew her, and enabled her to enrich their lives in ways they will * never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty first of April 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Margaret A. Ryari and extend to her family and friends our deepest syrapathy;;and • ; '
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Margaret A. Ryan.
