MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
 
 
WHEREAS, It was with deep sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the April 18, 2013 death of Robert J. Braasch, Sr; and
 
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39th Ward; and
 
WHEREAS, Robert Braasch was an active and vital member of his community. The beloved and loving husband to Virginia D. Braasch, nee Colsant; loving father of Robert, Jr. (Kathleen) Braasch, Kristin (Michael) McDermott, Brian (Patty) Braasch, Michael (Corry) Braasch, Daniel (Katie) Braasch and Matthew Braasch; proud grandfather of Connor, Molly, Robert Liam, Dillon, Hanna, Olivia, the late Angel Gavin, Matthew, Maddie, Tommy, Charlie, Kaylee, Emily, Maggie and Michael; loving son ofthe late William and the late Virginia Braasch; dear brother of Mary Gin (the late Bob Harrington), William (Sue) Braasch, Joanne (Kerry) Collins, the late Ellen (Joe) Garvey and the late Kathy (Bob) Major; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews; cherished friend to many, Robert leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
 
WHEREAS, Robert will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
 
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this eighth day of May 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Robert J. Braasch Sr. and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
