MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, It is with great sadness that members of this Chamber learned of the death of Raymond Rodheim, on September 16, 2015, at the age of eighty; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by The Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman of the 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, Born on July 31, 1935, this devoted son of the late Fannie and Al Rodheim was the beloved husband and best friend for sixty years of Janice, nee Feder; loving father of Ronda (Thomas) Johnson, Steven (Dianna) and Fred (Julie) Rodheim; adored grandpa of Amanda and Blake Johnson, Alexa (Sam Cutler) Rodheim-Cutler, Zachary, Kendall, Hannah, Aubrie, Connor, Andy, Emily and Benny Rodheim; dear brother of the late Carol (Barry) Goldman; cherished brother-in-law of Alan (Barbara) Feder; treasured uncle of many and friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Raymond leaves a legacy of faith, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, Raymond was an active and vital member of his community. He touched the lives of all who knew him through his kindness, generosity and spirit. He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him, now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and member of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty-fourth day of September, 2015, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of Raymond Rodheim and express to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Raymond Rodheim as a token of our honor, gratitude, and respect.
