WHEREAS, Congratulations to John C. Dore 2013 Girls 5^tn and 6^U1 Grade Volleyball Team on their first 5^th and 6^th Grade Network Championship in John C. Dore school history; and

WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of this prestigious occasion by the Honorable Marty Quinn, Alderman of the 13^th Ward; and

WHEREAS, John C. Dore 2013 Girls 5^th and 6^th Grade Volleyball Team faced resilience along the entire way and went on to beat Azuela, McKay and Sawyer; and

WHEREAS, Despite not ever having home team advantage, this team will be remembered as one who always played hard and never gave up; and

WHEREAS, Not only the team, but Coach Keller, Coach Murphy, the parents, volunteers and Principal Dr. Alvarez should all be commended for their hard work and participation; now, therefore

Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this eleventh day of December, 2013 do hereby express our sincerest congratulations to John C. Dore 2013 Girls 5^th and 6^th Grade Volleyball team on their Network Championship and wish them continued success; and

Be It Further Resolved, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the John C. Dore 2013 Girls 5^th and 6^th Grade Volleyball Team.
