MEMORIAL RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, J. Timothy Kelley was called by God to his eternal reward on December 26, 2012, at the age of 86; and
WHEREAS, The City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Margaret Laurino, Alderman ofthe 39th Ward; and
WHEREAS, The loving husband of Mary; beloved father of Timothy and Michael (Gretchen) Kelley; dear grandfather of Phina and Eliza; treasured brother of Ruth Bertels, Frances Roach, the late Mary Kelley and Kitty Price; cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews, Tim Kelley leaves a legacy of faith, compassion, dignity and love; and
WHEREAS, A proud veteran of World War II, Tim Kelley served in the United States Navy and remained an active and vital member of his community; and
WHEREAS, Tim Kelley will be deeply missed, but the memory of his character, intelligence and compassion will live on in those who knew and loved him; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here this seventeenth day of January 2013, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of J. Timothy Kelley and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
Be It Further Resolved, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of J. Timothy Kelley.
