WHEREAS, Annette Bennett, an outstanding public servant and member of her community, retires as a Crossing Guard Supervisor of the Chicago Police Department after nineteen years of dedicated service to the children of this city; and
WHEREAS, Annette served with dedication in the 005th, 007th and 006th Districts. She was awarded one Honorable Mention and one Complimentary Letter; and
WHEREAS, The Crossing Guards have the very essential job of ensuring the safety of our children. This Crossing Guard has an important role in protecting the lives of our children; and
WHEREAS, The Honorable Lona Lane, Alderman of the 18th Ward, has apprised this august body of Annette Bennett's significant milestone; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago, gathered here in assembly this twelfth day of December, 2012 A.D., do hereby salute Annette Bennett for her many years of dedicated service to the safety of the children and extend our very best wishes for health, happiness, and success in any future endeavor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be prepared and presented to Annette Bennett.
