City Council February 24th, 2021
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, James A. Halpin "JC" has been called to eternal life by the wisdom of God to his eternal reward; and
WHEREAS, The Chicago City Council has been informed of his passing by the Honorable Patrick D. Thompson, Alderman of the 11th Ward; and
WHEREAS, James A. Halpin, Loving father of Catherine, Peter (Sara), Martin, and Elizabeth (Bryan) Halpin; beloved son of the late Henry and Catherine Halpin; fond grandfather of Robert, Ashton, Nathan, Jackson, Isabella, and Nora; dear brother of Patrick (Darlene) Halpin, Victor Nardi, Judy Pappalardo, Carrie (Tony) Prevolos, Jennie (Norman) Johnson, and the late Michael Nardi; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, James Faithful and dedicated servant to Old St. Patrick's (St. Pat's) Catholic Church & St. Gabriel Catholic Church; and
WHEREAS, His love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared James to his family members, friends and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That we, the Mayor and members of the City Council of the City of Chicago gathered here this twenty fourth of February 2021, do hereby express our sorrow on the death of James A. Halpin and extend to his family and friends our deepest sympathy; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James A. Halpin.
